It is the anniversary of Hamplus Technologies International [Hamplus Hub], and in her culture, she celebrated this year’s anniversary (the third since launch in 2020) with the theme: Collaborative Tech and Tech Entities.
Hamplus Technologies International, aka Hamplus Hub, is a technology company located in Abraka with skills, knowledge, and expertise similar to those of foreign companies. She has the objective of encouraging advanced digital knowledge through technology locally tailored to fit environmental needs but of international standard. Her vision is to bring technology to all, irrespective of age, gender, religion, race, or ethnicity, thereby producing startups and solutions to address the needs of the environment. Hence, she offers a variety of technological and educational services, being keen on international standards of professionalism.
Hamplus Hub’s mission is to enhance locally made technological stations to thrive in global space. In this line, she collaborates with renown and lesser-known technological stations and hubs within and outside her location.
This year’s anniversary was the maiden edition of the virtual anniversary event. Another unique feature of this year’s anniversary event is that all the speakers are female. Thereby promoting females in the tech ecosystem. The speakers are Mrs. Mega Ohis Grace (a computer scientist and researcher), Miss Fortune Obadiah (a data scientist) and Miss Precious Ogbuka (a data scientist, technical writer and teacher).
The year in retrospect showed that Hamplus Hub recorded successes in her programmes and in her life impact schemes. The free 1-week literacy programmes that was organized last year starts the success story. In February 2023, she held DELSU Tech Invasion 1.0 (the first tech programme at Delta State University, Abraka). Thereafter, she sent her resource person (Mr JohnPaul) to Eket as a coach in Django Girls Eket before holding the Django Girls Abraka event (first Django and Django Girls workshop in Abraka) in July 2023. Some tech brands also used the facilities of Hamplus Hub to launch their community presence in Abraka. Notably, Webflow and WordPress.
Hamplus Hub enjoys national and international partnership and support, notably – Python, Django, AfriLabs, the Innovation Support Network (ISN), the Data Scientist Network (DSN) and Revivn, to mention but a few. Revivn’s support via a tech access grant was the climax of Hamplus Hub’s partnership experience before the celebration of her 3rd year anniversary.
In her culture, the routine of activities to mark her anniversary celebration always gives back to humanity and the host community. Hence, on November 20, 2023, Hamplus Hub is scheduled to visit an orphanage in Abraka, two (2) female tech enthusiasts will be given brand new laptops (proudly sponsored by Revivn in collaboration with Hamplus Hub), and at least 20–30 indigent indigenes from the two kingdoms in Abraka will be trained on tech skills.
Hamplus Technologies International [Hamplus Hub] uses this medium to call on humanitarians and philanthropists with the goal of impacting lives, to collaborate, support, and sponsor Hamplus Hub in their ways for more lives to be impacted, thereby making people, especially the youth, positive-minded people and an asset to themselves and the community at large.
