Each intern was encouraged to bring a guest, and judges were present to officiate the proceedings.

SIWES (IT) Defense and Exhibition was designed by the management of Hamplus Hub for interns to challenge the interns to be practical and problem solvers even before their graduation from higher institution. Being the maiden edition, the event started at 10 am with judges drawn from the pool of Hamplus Hubs human resources and community members. Mr Joshua, Mr Benjamin, Miss Gloria and Mr Jeffery. Miss Gloria is a professional Entrepreneur and former intern at Hamplus Hub. The other judges are full stack developers and were students of full stack web development in Hamplus Hub.
The event kicked off with Vera, an Art student, who showcased her impressive animation project, created using Scratch software. She also previewed her brand identity concept called “DriveMe“, a transportation company that provides ride-hailing services. Vera’s presentation set a high standard, and she skillfully explained her work to the audience.
Next, Computer Science interns Tega, Michael, and Samson presented their software projects sequentially. Tega and Michael each developed and presented a web app for ordering cooks called Hamplus Cook and Da Vinci’s, based on the brand identity created by another Art student, Victory. Samson followed with his software for booking rides called DriVe, which was inspired by Vera’s “DriveMe” brand identity.
The judges provided valuable feedback on how the interns could enhance their software projects, offering constructive criticism and insights. They also commended the collaboration efforts between the interns. Following this, Dibashi, another Art student, presented his mobile app for ordering pizza called ***, created using Figma. His presentation was engaging, and he lightened the mood of the audience with his humor, eliciting laughter from them. His partner, Confidence, a Computer Science student, then presented his impressive Artificial Intelligence chatbot called AskAI.

His project stood out, and the judges, particularly Mr. Joshua, praised his work as a complete and polished project. Blessing’s app was considered the most outstanding of the event hence, he was given a special gift apart from the general gifts.
