2024 Django Girls Abraka – 100% FREE Web Development Workshop

It is an awesome opportunity to leverage on the excellent skills, resources and expertise of professionals in web development as Hamplus Technologies International through the approval of Django Girls and the partnership of Python Software Foundation and Django Project holds a two day web development workshop in Abraka.

This year’s workshop will be the second in history; the maiden edition about a year ago (first event). Last year’s event was top-notch and had in attendance over thirty-five (40) attendees and coaches. Though the workshop is organized to encourage female developers and programmers, it is not closed to females alone as male can also attend.

Django Girls Abraka workshop is a part of a bigger initiative: Django Girls. It is a non-profit organization and events are organized by volunteers in different places of the world. In django girls workshops, attendees learn, have fun, get entertained and are taken on practical sessions. Last year, the attendees were able to start a simple blog which was built and developed using the django framework. This year’s workshop has prospects of better than last.

The workshop is 100% FREE for all tech newbies, tech enthusiasts and tech professionals. The registration has been ongoing and the window will soon be closed. Registration is on the approved website (apply now) and the selected applicants will be notified on or before 12th June, 2024 as 11th June, 2024 is the end of the application process.

Django Girls Abraka in this year’s workshop increased the number of attendees from the previous 20-30 to 30-35. Also, new professionals have volunteered to be among the coaches of which they have been accepted. You too can volunteer to become a coach in Django Girls workshop (Link 1 or link 2). The former link is to coach in any django girls event while the latter link is to coach in django girls Abraka.

The schedule for the workshop is as follows: Thursday 13th, June 2024 for an Installation Party and Friday 14th, June 2024 for the Main Workshop. In the installation party, the prospective attendees are to come to the venue for the workshop with their systems for all necessary installations to be done. The workshop being 100% FREE requires the attendees to come with the following:

1. A ready mind.
2. Ability to unlearn, learn and relearn
3. A note and a pen.
4. A smart phone or a laptop.
5. Your charger
